About the exhibition:
QualiaSergey Shutov's solo exhibition "Qualia" at the GUM-Red-Line gallery displays 35 paintings made over the past five years. Most of them were prepared specifically for the exhibition.
"Qualia" is a philosophical term that denotes a subjective emotional experience associated with sensations. The sensations may be the same, but perception always colors them individually. Sergei Shutov claims that art is associated with qualia. For more than 40 years he has been developing his own system of images.
