Pyotr Tchaikovsky

The Sleeping Beauty

Спящая красавица

The Sleeping Beauty is a legendary and unforgettable ballet. The fantastical and fairytale ballet is a perfect creation by Pyotr Ilych Tchaikovsky and Marius Petipa, transforming Charles Perrault’s story into one of passion, sophistication, and intensity, where Aurora can only be brought back to life by the passionate kiss of a handsome Prince.

The ballet was produced by Yuri Grigorovich, a connoisseur and admirer of Petipa’s work, and is performed by Olga Smirnova (Aurora), Semyon Chudin (Prince Desire), and Yulia Stepanova (Lilac Fairy) on the Bolshoi Theatre’s Stage.
